Cathy just wrapped up an in-depth interview with JMG Systems detailing the history of the Griffith Family Foundation as well as what goes on in the office on a day-to-day basis. Here’s a snippet from that article:

“… This routine of regular digital communication actually started when Greg was undergoing treatment in Pittsburgh. Upon Diagnosis, Greg said,”Cathy, we need a strategic plan for communication.” Because, we had over a thousand friends and family members who were wanting and needing regular updates on everything that was happening with us. So we created a UPMC Care Page, and Greg diligently posted information every single day. That’s not an exaggeration. The UPMC Care Page Portal printed all of his posts for me, and when I gathered all of his correspondence and had it bound into a book, there were three volumes!

Communication was key then. It still is now. That’s how we engage the army of people who have been continuously supporting this Foundation and its efforts. All our advances as an organization have stemmed directly from our ability to communicate with our community…”
