This year, The Griffith Family Foundation’s 8th Annual Sideline Pancreatic Cancer Dinner will be featuring several familiar special guest speakers.

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. A. James Moser, Executive Director of the Institute of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center will be attending for the 8th year in a row. He has never missed a dinner since we started hosting this annual event in 2010!

Kevin Yeskey is an emergency medicine physician with over 30 years of public health experience preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters. He is the former Deputy Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response at the US Department of Health and Human Services and was the Director of the CDC’s Bioterrorism and Response Program. He has responded domestically and internationally to natural disasters, terrorist incidents, and humanitarian crises. Dr. Yeskey received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and his undergraduate degree from Brown University.

Erin

And we’re excited that Erin Willett has decided to join us yet again this year. Erin was a semi-finalist on the second season of NBC’s The Voice and was personally affected by pancreatic cancer when her father, Chuck Willett, passed away from the disease in 2011. In 2012, Erin independently released her debut EP, which is available on iTunes.

In the memory and honor of Kiera Chirdon’s dedication to the Sideline Cancer campaign and her courageous battle with cancer, the Griffith Family Foundation is proud to present the inaugural Kiera Courage Award. Starting this year, this award will be given out annually to a student that exemplifies Kiera’s faith, hope, and love.
