Presents our First Annual
Purple Power Run
Saturday, March 30th @ 10:30 AM
Sideline Cancer at Penn State is thrilled to present our first annual PURPLE POWER RUN!
A recent American Cancer Society Cancer report estimates that more than 56,700 Americans will be diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in 2019. That number itself is grim, but even more heartbreaking is that this means the number of new diagnoses is continuing to rise.
Our club was founded to enable Collge Students, Professors, and Staff to join in the effort to fund, cure, and permanently Sideline Pancreatic Cancer.
Proceeds raised from this event will go to support Pancreatic Cancer research and organizing Pancreatic Cancer Symposiums like the one scheduled for April, 5th.
You can also CLICK HERE to learn more about Pancreatic Cancer and what’s being done about it.
So lace up your running shoes, hydrate,
stretch out, and let’s do this!
The event is Saturday, March 30th
with a race start time at 10:30 AM.
Registration is from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM.
Registration is $20.
People will need to check-in at the race at least 30 minutes before race time. So please plan on arriving no later than 10:00 AM.
Parking is not provided at the event, but parking will be available at the on-campus parking decks and other lots throughout campus.
The race will begin outside of the HUB by the Osmond Fountain (see map below).
