4th Annual Griff’s Run and Gun Fast Approaching

It’s hard to believe, but the 4th Annual Griff’s Run and Gun for a Cure weekend is right around the corner!

Please join us once again for this exciting annual event — we’re looking forward to a fun weekend of dinner, basketball, golf and more, all while raising money for the fight against pancreatic cancer.

Details for the weekend are below.

Griff’s Run and Gun Dinner and Silent Auction – July 26, 2013

Time: Doors open at 5:30 PM (appetizers will be served), Dinner at 7:15 PM, Auction and Program 8:15-10:00.

Place: The Casino at Lakemont, 300 Lakemont Park Boulevard  Altoona, PA 16602

Price: $30 per ticket

The keynote speaker for this year’s event is Dr. Michael Barry, the Director of Pastoral Care at Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Dr. Barry “specializes in the connection between spirituality and health, particularly as it relates to cancer.” He works daily with patients at Cancer Treatment Centers as they work towards recovery. Rev. Barry holds a master’s degree in divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and a doctorate degree in ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Erin Willett, singer-songwriter and runner-up on season 2 of The Voice, will be performing one of her songs. Erin lost her father to pancreatic cancer in December of 2012.

Griff’s Run and Gun 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament – July 27, 2013

Time: Check-in 8:30 AM, Games begin at 9:00 AM

Place: The Hollidaysburg Area YMCA, 1111 Hewit Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648

Price: $60 per team

Get a team together and join us for a day of hoops, fun and food!

The YMCA will graciously host this event once again and the event has been expertly organized for the fourth year by brothers Tyke and Josh Steiner.

Tee Off For a Cure – July 28, 2013

Time: Registration at 11:30 AM, Lunch from 12:00-12:45 PM, Shotgun Start at 1:00 PM

Place: Sinking Valley Country Club, 595 Golf Course Road, Altoona, PA 16601

Price: $400 per foursome
