BIG NEWS: Formation of the Alliance of Families Fighting Pancreatic Cancer (AFFPC)

The Greg and Cathy Griffith Family Foundation and Dr. A. James Moser are pleased to announce the formation of the Alliance of Families Fighting Pancreatic Cancer( AFFPC), a grass-roots organization of foundations and families across the country that will unify to make strides toward beating pancreatic cancer. All organizations in the alliance maintain their autonomy, while sharing resources and ideas with the larger group. All those that have been affected by pancreatic cancer and want to fight to see a cure, whether official organizations or families, are welcome to join us in our fight.

Funds that are raised by the foundation will support Dr. A James Moser’s research. Dr. Moser has aligned with Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital of Boston, UMPC, The Mayo Clinic, The Cleveland Clinic, and seven other hospitals to create a data repository of patient outcomes from those with early stage pancreatic cancer. This data sharing is the first of its kind, and is extremely important because short survival times make it difficult for one hospital or institution to amass enough data to make real progress.

We are very excited to be a part of this effort, and to join with the other organizations to support  Dr. Moser! The families of pancreatic cancer patients are the ones who need to fight this war, and the AFFPC  has been established because of their love and their dedication to seeing a better world for ALL pancreatic patients!

One of our biggest goals is to establish the New Year’s BeliEVE Spectacular, where people across the country can unite and party in their purple to ring in the new year!

We are currently working on the AFFPC website, and more info will follow.

BeliEVE Always!
