Amanda and her family have been highly involved with the foundation from the very beginning. In fact, without her influence, Griff’s Run and Gun, and also the foundation itself may not even exist! (see the About page on this site)

So we’re thrilled to see her talent getting the recognition it deserves! Amanda is a graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School and is now a senior at Davidson College. In addition to being a talented basketball player, she is also a talented poet, writing and performing “slam poetry”.

The article, which originally appeared in Champion Magazine and is now featured on NCAA.org, talks about how Greg Griffith was a huge influence on Amanda’s life, leading her to rediscover her faith. It also features a video of Amanda performing “Godwinks” (a poem inspired by Greg) at last year’s Griff’s Run and Gun.
