WTAJ-TV TO HOST SIDELINE CANCER PROMOTION
At the PSU/Michigan Game on Saturday, October 19th, WTAJ-TV will host PSU Football Alumni Zach Simpson (pictured with Cathy) to an ice cream eating challenge with a $2500 Signature Sponsor (TBA) and our Sideline Cancer at Penn State President Josh Cobler!
In light of Alex Trebek’s recent set back, WTAJ-TV and Mr. Clay will help us use this friendly competition to highlight that November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.

The flavor picked for this competition will be the delightful, purple #ICAN Black Raspberry Frozen Yogurt from the Penn State Berkey Creamery.
Along with the wider public awareness that will be raised during this promotion, the sponsor money of $2500 will go towards the Sideline Cancer at Penn State Club to help their efforts in raising awareness for Pancreatic Cancer at PSU, such as their inaugural, student-led, collaborative Pancreatic Cancer Symposium on Thursday, April 16th and Friday, April 17th at the Nittany Lion Inn.
Our hope is that this will become an annual event. So each year, WTAJ-TV will highlight our Sideline Cancer ice cream eating challenge, and Zach Simpson will ask a fellow PSU Alumni Football player to participate in this sponsored challenge to continue raising awareness for Pancreatic Cancer!

COME OUT AND CHEER ON OUR PARTICIPANTS
We are inviting and encouraging everyone in the Sideline Cancer community to join us at this event to represent the larger, world-wide community fighting against Pancreatic Cancer.
If you can make it, we will all be meeting at Fullington Tailgate at 10 AM SHARP on October 19th. (The Fullington Tailgate is located near the Baseball Field directly off of 3rd base. Mr Fullington said you can’t miss it, because his Bus/RV has a Lion Head on the front of the bus).
Taping with WTAJ-TV News Anchor John Clay will conclude by no later than 10:30 AM. This will give everyone plenty of time to enjoy your day at your own tailgates with family and friends and is respectful to the Fullington family.
Also, please note that the Penn State Game on the 19th is a White Out. So please wear your white PSU Sideline Cancer Tshirt to the Game so WTAJ-TV can highlight our t-shirt during the ice cream eating challenge.
