The Griffith Family Foundation’s 7th Annual Sideline Pancreatic Cancer Dinner will be featuring two very special guest speakers. On Friday, July 29th, we will hear from Grace Vera Zetz (pictured on the right) and her daughter Josie (in the picture below).
Their amazing story has become recognized nationwide because of a YouTube video about their family that has been viewed over 1 million times. It’s titled “Walk me down the aisle, Daddy” and focuses on Josie and her father, Jim, who was battling pancreatic cancer at the time.
After the video went viral, their story has been featured in many other news outlets and articles including, “Purpose Found in tragedy” written by Alexa White.

“Jim and Grace were devastated to learn that Jim had inoperable, Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He was sent home with an estimated 3-4 weeks to live and told to put his affairs in order… The last of Jim and Grace’s children still in the home was 11-year- old Josie.
