Cathy just wrapped up an in-depth interview with JMG Systems detailing the history of the Griffith Family Foundation as well as what goes on in the office on a day-to-day basis. Here’s a snippet from that article:
We are thrilled to announce that Dr. A. James Moser, Executive Director of the Institute of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center will be attending our Annual Sideline Pancreatic Cancer Dinner for the 7th year in a row. He has never missed this event since we started hosting it in 2010!
The Greg and Cathy Griffith Family Foundation has acquired a Silver Participant registration with Guidestar!
Guidestar is the world’s largest source of information on non-profit organizations.
From now until February 6th, “Sideline Cancer” t-shirts will be sold at the Adler Gym at the Penn State Altoona Campus. And we’d like to say, “Thank you” to the PSU/Altoona Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams for assisting us in the cause to Sideline Pancreatic Cancer.
Pancreatic Cancer Organizations from the United States, Canada, and Europe are in the process of creating an independent coalition of pancreatic cancer organizations and partners from around the world.
In March, 2016, Cathy was named the Secretary of The Digestive Disease National Coalition (DDNC).
Most importantly, we would like to thank everyone who has continued to support our efforts. From 2010 through 2015, our Griffith Family Foundation has awarded more than $200,000 for the research efforts of Dr. A. James Moser of BIDMC/Harvard Medical School. It has been through your generous donations that we have been funding novel clinical trials for patients suffering from pancreatic cancer.
The second annual World Pancreatic Cancer Day is on Friday, November 13. The purpose of this event is to unite advocates around the globe in their mission to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer. CONTINUE READING
