Sideline Cancer AAU Teams Shine at Atlantic City Showcase

The Sideline Cancer AAU Girls Basketball Program continues to make waves, showcasing both talent and resilience during the Atlantic City Showcase held at the Convention Center in Atlantic City, NJ. This tournament was a live event, providing players the invaluable opportunity to perform in front of Division 1, 2, and 3 college basketball coaches from across the country as the recruitment process heats up.

The highlight of the weekend was undoubtedly the stellar performance of our 17U Select 40 Team, which went undefeated with an impressive 4-0 record. Their exceptional teamwork and determination stole the show, cementing their status as one of the premier teams in the showcase. The athletes demonstrated their skill, passion, and the “I Can Attitude” that defines the Sideline Cancer program.

Not far behind was the 15U Select 40 Team, which showcased their competitive spirit with a strong 3-1 record. Entering Sunday undefeated, the team battled hard in their final game but came up just short. Their performance highlights the depth of talent in the Sideline Cancer program and the bright future ahead for these young athletes.

The Atlantic City Showcase featured seven Sideline Cancer teams ranging from grades 8th to 11th. Every team left their mark, with all teams securing at least one win and most finishing at or above .500 for the weekend. Special congratulations go to our 9th and 11th Grade Teams for their outstanding performances on the court.

As the Sideline Cancer AAU Girls Program continues to grow, events like these are critical in providing exposure and development opportunities for our athletes. The dedication and talent displayed by all teams during the showcase embody the spirit of Sideline Cancer—using sports as a platform to inspire and empower.

Congratulations to all players, coaches, and supporters for an unforgettable weekend of basketball! Together, we are proving that with an “I Can Attitude & Believe Always Spirit,” anything is possible.
