A local organization, the Greg and Cathy Griffith Family Foundation, is spearheading fundraising efforts against the disease that took Greg’s life Aug. 26 at the age of 50 after a 19-month battle.

Greg Griffith and Kiera Chirdon’s paths were intertwined, and they seem to have been put on this earth for the same purpose.
They both were diagnosed with stage four cancer in the winter of 2010, attended Father William Kiel’s healing services together in Indiana PA, and share the same confidence that the Lord can and does heal.

Amanda and her family have been highly involved with the foundation from the very beginning. In fact, without her influence, Griff’s Run and Gun, and also the foundation itself may not even exist! (see the About page on this site)
So we’re thrilled to see her talent getting the recognition it deserves! Amanda is a graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School and is now a senior at Davidson College. In addition to being a talented basketball player, she is also a talented poet, writing and performing “slam poetry”.
Each year the staff of Hollidaysburg Area High School holds a “Biggest Loser” competition, and the winners typically donate their winnings to a charity of their choice. We’re extremely grateful that his year’s winners chose The Greg and Cathy Griffith Family Foundation!
